Superman 1938-2014

So, since I made a anniversary thingie for Batman 1939-2014, I thought it would be fitting to make one for Superman. Delayed one year, sure, but better late than never. lol

So, once again - I'll go through them, top to bottom and left to right:

First Row: Action Comics 1, Golden Age, Fleischer Cartoon, George Reeves Show black and white, George Reeves Show in color.

Second Row: Pre-Crisis, Post-Crisis, Superman 1978, The Dark Knight Returns, Lois & Clark.

Third Row: Black suit (introduced after Death & Return of Superman), Kingdom Come, The Animated Series, JLA, Smallville.

Fourth Row: Superman Returns, New 52, Smallville Season 11 (comic), Man of Steel, Injustice.


Yeah, I know it's 5 less than for Batman. But honestly, it's tricky to find varying costumes for Superman. Sure, there's the stupid thing of him turning into red and blue separately... but, I'm not even sure I count that as THE Superman - it's more like he splits into two characters for a while.
Superman simply has kept a more consistent look throughout the years than Batman, you know? I'm still surprised I could figure out 20 variations of him to draw in the first place.
